Mantrailing Terms & Conditions

Equipment & Training Methodology

At Mantrailing Central West, we use positive reinforcement-based training methods to ensure a rewarding and stress-free experience for your dog.

Please have your dog on a flat collar and harness. Your dog will need a back-attach harness to trail. Other equipment (head halters, martingale collars or check chains) can inhibit your dog’s willingness and/or ability to search effectively and will not be permitted.

Our focus is on building confidence, motivation, and teamwork in a way that supports your dog’s natural abilities and well-being.

Dogs will need to remain in their vehicles between sessions. If your dog cannot be left in a vehicle unattended, you will be asked to remain with your dog and/or should bring an additional person to remain with your dog. Your dog’s comfort and well being must always be our priority.

You will need to maintain effective control of your dog at all times. Dogs will not be permitted off lead to trail without a handler. Mantrailing is a team sport with handlers supporting their dogs throughout the entirety of the session.
